Chronic myeloid leukemia is a cancer of the white blood cells involved
in infection fighting, and involves changes in the bone marrow or blood
stem cell.

Dr. Jeffrey Lipton is the Head of the Chronic Myeloid Leukemia Program
at the Ontario Cancer Institute.
